Last week my new laptop arrived. Its a Dell Vostro 1710 with the following configuration:

- Intel Core Duo 2.1 GHz
- 4 GB RAM
- 320 GB Harddisk
- nVidia GeForce 8600M GS
- 8X DVD+/-RW Slot Load Drive
- 17″ Widescreen-Display (1440 x 900)
- 6 USB-Ports, 1 SD-Card Slot, 1 PCMCIA Slot

This laptop realy cool. The design is simply black with blue status lights. The 17″ Display seams gigantic to me. I’m very happy with this laptop but like everthing in this world it isn’t perfect so the SD-Card slot is a little tricky to use. You have to put in the card in correct angle or the card stucks in the slot so that you need something spiky to get it out again. By the way it’s my first laptop I’ll give you more infomations about it when I got more handy with it.

Yesterday I went throw Frankfurt to the Flashtreffen which is organized by Danilo Sandner. Its always a cool event where you can meet some other Flash-Developers or even people who handel with Flash. This time it was a small group with about 10 people but the different discussions were much better as if it were a bigger group. So we had some drinks an talked about ActionScript editors, project workflows and much more interesting subjects. One person travelled about 200 km for become part of this event. All told it was a good evening with exciting discussions.

Last Saturday we repair our ride. First problem Hirth sent us the wrong parts for the cooling so that we could only drive 5 minutes bevor the motor gots boiling hot. So we tested different size and forms of tires.

The small ones aren’t the best for this speed like you can see at the video.

This machine has 92 HP, no suspension (only the pressure in the wheels) and is very difficult to control like you can see at the video.

After Micha (driver) droped of Maik (co-driver) we saw that the follower was broken. So we were welding the whole Saturday evening the follower and hope that it hold at the race next sunday.

Letzten Montag hatte ich auf dem Webmontag in Frankfurt eine Vortrag über Flash optimierung für Suchmaschinen gehalten, hier die Präsentation.
Ich werden in den nächsten Tagen die Präsentation noch um SWFAddress erweitern. Allerdings ist mir dort wieder aufgefallen, dass sich wenige überhaupt schon mit dem Thema befasst haben. 

Da ich auf der Suche nach freien AMFPHP Services fast verzweifelt bin, habe ich nun begonnen selbst welche zu schreiben. Diese möchte ich euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten.

Dieser Service liest ein Serververzeichnis aus und gibt ein Array mit Namen und Größen der darin befindlichen Dateien zurück. Das Ergebnis kann nach Dateigröße, -name oder -endung auf- oder absteigend sortiert werden. Die Ausgabe kann auf bestimmt Dateitypen begrenzt werden, was bei der Erstellung einer Bildergalerie, eines MP3-Players oder auch eines Video-Players recht nützlich sein dürfte.

Nachdem ich nun doch feststellen mußte, daß es mittlerweile “Pflicht” für einen Entwickler ist, einen Weblog zu führen, habe ich mir auch mal WordPress installiert.
